Property building in ibis budget London Barking
The property is great in terms of value-for-money in such an expensive city as London. It feels more like student dorms than a hotel but there's nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness or facilities. The room was fairly small for two persons but it serves the purpose of having a good night's sleep. There's no space for a wardrobe or something like that but they could've installed a couple of shelves or clothes hangers on the wall. The bathroom, on the other hand, was spacious. In terms of location, it's far in the east of London, but Barking station is 10-minute walk away, from which you can take the district line directly to central London (ca. 30-minute ride) or an overground train to Stratford station, which is well connected with the many other locations in London including Stansted airport.

The staff was super friendly. Rooms are small but very clean and matress super comfortable. It was very quiet even tho hotel is close to the motorway the rooms are well insulated and sound proof. Next to the hotel there is a Tesco Superstore where you can buy food. You can walk from Barking station but i would recommend to take a Uber or taxi, its only £7. However, in the mornings Uber seems to be much more expensive and we would recommend to take a local taxi to the station. If you take train or taxi to the Barking Riverside you are able to take the Uber boat Ferry into the city centre which is an amazing experience and can only recommend. We definetly would stay here again for this price.

Newly crafted, the property features vibrant panels in the hallways, photo posters of tennis players, and conveniently distributed electrical outlets. Our room, offering basic amenities, was snug, immaculate, and well-kept. The hotel's restaurant presented an extensive selection of breakfast foods. Additionally, the shower's water pressure was superb. Nestled in a diverse section of East London, the location is excellently served by public transport, providing easy access to the city's other areas. P.S. It's a good thing that the beds could be separated because my father snores like a sawmill! The last thing I want is his warm breath on my neck. Yikes!

Stayed in Ibis Budget 4 times so experienced a variety of rooms - for 2 and 3 people. All were clean and fresh. 2 singles were the smallest but perfectly fine for a couple of days. triple room had a double and bunk bed. As I was with my son that was good for us both. Strangely was also put in the triple disabled room at one point, so can verify it has lots of space for wheelchair users moving around the room. A double bed and single, with ensuite shower with a pull-down wall seat. Staff were very helpful and tried to let me into the room as soon as they could (I arrived before check-in time). They also helped book taxis. Very friendly lot.

The facilities are kind of clean, functional, effective and that is exactly what you are paying for. They do absolutely and reliably what they should and that makes this excellent value for money. If that's not your "thing" pay more somewhere else. The thing about this Ibis Budget is how outstandingly good the staff are...there's nothing budget about that at all. Polite, friendly, exceedingly helpful. I stay in endless hotels with my work and the staff here during my stay were the equal of any I have encountered.
